YOGA


Yoga may be defined as a mind body connection, a state of relaxation, a way to increase flexiblity, or a phsyically demanding practice. If you ask Leslie what Yoga is she will describe it as a journey to discovering your true self. Yoga has many benefits that include the following. 


   
Yoga in its simplest form is bringing balance to the mind and to the body. Yoga creates a sense of overall happiness and wellbeing. In addition to inner balance yoga was created to strengthen the outer body as well. Yoga is now used to tone, the body, strengthen the joints, ligaments and bones and help in many other areas. Leslie's yoga journey began in 2008 and continues to. Leslie believes yoga teaches one to be more present in themselves. Presence in self leads to presence in life and all those that are around us. When we practice yoga, we become more mobile and agile in our human body. Yoga teaches one to find what type of movement they enjoy, in additon to finding what we enjoy in life.


Leslie currently teaches and practices various forms of yoga, however she promotes indviduality and believes that yoga should not be the same for any two people.  "We are all unique individuals with various builds, abilities, strengths, weaknesses, and therefore should honor our bodies and work with what we feel is comfortable for that particualar day.
